Dear Aunty Elizabeth, Ever since I can remember, you were always there as a kind, caring aunt with a lovely laugh and smile. It was always fun to meet up with you at family gatherings, and to visit you at "Cherryholt". We also have happy memories of your visits to France, first with Mike on your return from Italy via the Lac d'aiguebelette. You enjoyed splashing in the paddling pool with the children to cool off! Then later on with Rachel- I will always remember that happy, fun day when we took a speedboat out on Annecy lake. More recently you came with your whole family and we enjoyed an afternoon together in the sun. You always took such an interest in our family, and regularly sent us messages, both for the good times, and the sad. You also had a knack for choosing beautiful, and sometimes unusual, gifts! We still have and use the cherrystoner you gave us for our engagement as you felt that no young couple should be without one! I will also treasure the last gift you gave me - a book called "When I am an Old Woman I shall Wear Purple" - It made me laugh, and will no doubt serve as inspiration to me over the coming years! I'm sad that we didn't get to meet up again recently, but I'm thankful for our many exchanges by mail and phone, and for your constant care and interest. We will all miss you but are happy to have some great memories. With much love, as always, Sarah (Jonathan, Maria, Helena and David) xxxxxx"
